Syam Nair

Syam Nair leads our product development and research organization, building hyperscale cloud services for secure connectivity and cybersecurity. He’s previously served as a product and engineering executive for both Salesforce and Microsoft, with expertise in ground-up incubation and leading large product and development organizations for growing cloud environments at hyperscale.

At Salesforce, Syam’s leadership was a driving force for key strategic innovations including Salesforce Genie, a hyperscale CRM Data Cloud. He also spearheaded integration of several of Salesforce’s inorganic innovations and acquisitions and helped the organization scale its AI-powered customer engagement platform for accelerated growth. Syam and his executive leadership team were also responsible for the vision and execution of Salesforce’s next-generation artificial intelligence, search, and analytics platform and experiences. In his final role with the company, he led technology and engineering organizations for Salesforce's Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Einstein, Search, and Tableau. During his tenure at Microsoft, Syam was part of the leadership team responsible for building and accelerating the expansion of its globally distributed Azure data services. 

He has led organizations through both technology and business transformations, hiring and growing world-class talent for cloud platforms, and is continuously innovating for customer success and accelerated business growth. Syam holds a Master's in Computer Science and Applications from Goa University, India, and a Master of Business Administration from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
