| General Responsibilities: |
| Works on problems of moderate scope/complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Regularly exercises judgment to determine appropriate action. Responsible for contributing to the completion of specific programs, projects and commitments established for the work unit while operating under the general direction of a manager. Directs outside PR agencies on tactical execution. Has experience with one or more elements of Corporate and Marketing Communications (Advertising, Media Relations, Analyst Relations, Direct Marketing, Trade Shows/Events, Interactive Marketing, Employee Communications, Marketing Communications and/or working journalist experience, etc.). Requires specific knowledge of profession differentiated by skills, education, experience, level of complexity and degree of autonomy. Typically requires 4-6 years of related experience with a BS degree; 2-4 years experience with an MS. |
| Major Duties & Functions: |
- Responsible for the management of internal/external communications, including press releases, placement of by-line articles, media monitoring and miscellaneous writing.
- Establish well-rounded relationships with internal partners; work collaboratively to ensure that PR and communication programs are well managed, effectively implemented and meet specific business objectives.
- Develops innovative solutions and methods to accomplish these initiatives and is responsible for driving them to successful results.
- Raise the profile of the company in the media by regularly generating story ideas and press releases and by maintaining relationships with journalists and industry analysts.
- Drives goal/program alignment across company.
- Have significant experience in all areas of Corporate and Marketing Communications and some experience in other business functions.
- Manages the company's media relations activities, including relationships with outside PR firm and press, as well as associated communications activities.
- Develops and manages tactical communication plans for areas of responsibility, including time lines, costs and measuring and reporting results.

| Qualifications You Must Have: |
- Has experience in several areas of Corporate & Marketing Communications Public Relations (Media Relations, Analyst Relations, Employee Communications, Marketing Communications and Speaking Placements).
- Have extensive experience in public relations/marketing communications planning/implementation, including the development and executive of strategic plans that support corporate and business unit-specific initiatives.
- Position requires significant experience in communicating with key stakeholders, including trade and business media, industry analysts and employees.
- Excellent writer with experience in drafting press releases, executive correspondence and key messaging.
- Must have experience or degree in implementing domestic and global marketing communications in line with corporate strategic objectives.

- Have experience in internal/external crisis management.
- Able to work independently with minimal direction from manager.
- Have knowledge of business and marketing strategies and is able to manage and modify tactical execution as needed.
