| Zscaler, the innovator and market leader of Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, is
seeking an IP Networking/UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator to join it's world-class
Cloud Operations team. This position is full-time, based at our corporate headquarters
in Sunnyvale, California and reports to the VP of Cloud Operations. |
| The Operations Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the Zscaler production cloud
which spans 40+ data centers and protecting users in 140+ countries as well as
assisting in managing Zscaler’s internal IT infrastructure. |
| This role would include all aspects of management including servers, operating
systems, storage, networking and supporting systems: |
- Manage an international, 24-7/always-on, multi-site infrastructure powering the
Zscaler Security Cloud.
- Design, implement and operate a scalable and reliable systems and network
infrastructure.
- Ensure proper security, monitoring, alerting and reporting for the infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues.
- Capacity planning for all aspects of the infrastructure.
- Developing and maintaining processes, tools and documentation in support of
the production environment.
- Participation in an on-call rotation.

| Desired Skills & Experience: |
- Experience in Linux/UNIX always-on production environments.
- Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX internals and core systems services (DNS,
HTTP, SMTP, syslog, etc).
- Tools development: experience developing systems automation tools (using
shell, Perl, etc).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with open source monitoring and alerting systems
- IP network experience: Experience with switching/routing/security/slb/gslb.
- BA/BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
