Jay Chaudhry

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Jay Chaudhry is a seasoned entrepreneur with a track record of success. He is an innovator and trendsetter who has founded and funded several successful companies including Zscaler, AirDefense, CipherTrust, CoreHarbor, Air2Web, and SecureIT. Chaudhry's 25 years of sales, marketing and engineering experience also includes leadership roles at leading companies such as IBM, NCR and Unisys.

Lane M. Bess

Chief Operating Officer

Lane Bess has spent over 27 years as an operational executive. He has successfully launched start-ups and scaled medium sized businesses to large scale. Most recently between 2008 and 2010, Lane was CEO of Palo Alto Networks where he led the fundraising and scaled the company from its early go-to-market to a revenue run rate of over $100 million and cash flow positive. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, he served as the EVP of Worldwide Sales and General Manager of publicly traded Trend Micro Inc. (Nikkei) - growing worldwide revenues to over $1 billion annually.

K. Kailash

Founder and Chief Architect

With over 25 years of experience in software development, Kailash is the scalability and high performance guru for networking and security technology. He has played a key role in leading companies such as CipherTrust, AirDefense, Netscaler, Mylex, Unisys, and Wipro.

Prior to Zscaler, he founded a consulting company focused on building high performance systems. Previously, Kailash played an instrumental role in drastically scaling the CipherTrust email security

Dr. Amit Sinha

Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering

Dr. Amit Sinha is a seasoned entrepreneur and technology leader in the security and wireless networking industry. He spearheads research and development initiatives of Zscaler’s emerging technologies and serves as the primary technical spokesperson for the company’s cloud security solution.

Prior to Zscaler, Amit served as Fellow & Chief Technology Officer of Motorola’s Enterprise Networking and Communication business, delivering wireless LAN infrastructure, voice and video communications

Dr. Manoj Apte

Vice President of Product Management

Manoj Apte brings a strong track record in network security products. He has over a decade of experience creating architectures for high performance networking and security.

Prior to Zscaler, Manoj was a senior product manager for High End Security Systems at Juniper Networks. As product manager of the IPS product line, Manoj created and launched Juniper's 10G IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) appliance that has re-established Juniper as a serious contender

Patrick Foxhoven

Vice President of Cloud Operations

Patrick is a nationally recognized security expert in building secure, scalable, and redundant Internet-enabled networks with direct network design, implementation, and support experience. He has over fifteen years of diverse experience in the service provider and managed networking and security services industries. He is also a seasoned entrepreneur with experience in building robust managed services and network operations teams. Patrick is responsible for the ongoing operations and management of Zscaler’s industry-leading global cloud infrastructure.

Michael Sutton

Vice President of Security Research

Michael Sutton has spent more than a decade in the security industry conducting leading-edge research, building teams of world-class researchers, and educating others on a variety of security topics. As Vice President of Security Research, Michael heads Zscaler ThreatLabZ, the research and development arm of the company. Zscaler ThreatLabZ is responsible for researching emerging topics in web security and developing innovative security controls, which leverage the Zscaler in-the-cloud model. The team is comprised of researchers with a wealth of experience in the security industry.
