Press Release

Daniel Druker Joins Zscaler as Chief Marketing Officer

San Jose, California, May, 27, 2014

Zscaler, the Internet security company, today announced the appointment of Daniel Druker as Chief Marketing Officer. Druker will be responsible for Zscaler’s global marketing activities, including market strategy and positioning, branding, digital marketing, demand generation, product marketing and channel and partner enablement. Reporting directly the CEO, Druker will be based at Zscaler’s headquarters in San Jose, California.

“Dan brings exceptional marketing and business expertise at a very pivotal time for the company and industry alike,” said Jay Chaudhry, founder and CEO, Zscaler. “Zscaler’s unique innovations have not only set a new bar for corporate Internet security, but also redefined the competitive landscape for Cloud Security providers. Dan’s enviable track record in creating markets, driving disruptive innovation and accelerating growth are exactly what this company needs to become the next anchor brand in security.”

Druker has more than 25 years of experience in executive sales and marketing roles at technology leaders, which includes helping to drive more than $3 billion in IPO and M&A transactions. Prior to joining Zscaler, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at cloud marketing company MyBuys, SVP of Marketing and Business Development at cloud ERP leader Intacct and EVP of Global Marketing at cloud security innovator Postini (acquired by Google). Dan has also held senior marketing and sales roles at IBM, Trigo Technologies, Hyperion Solutions, Arbor Software and Oracle.

“What Jay and team have built at Zscaler is game changing,” said Druker. “With more than 12 million users at 5,000 corporations and governments, it is mind boggling to think that they have only scratched the surface of the inevitable shift of the $33 billion security market from hardware appliances to Software-as-a-Service and cloud computing. And if the explosive growth of the last few years is any indication, the next stage of Zscaler is going to be one incredible ride.”

Druker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He’s been asked to speak on panels and keynoted at numerous industry conferences and events around the globe—speaking on SaaS, cloud computing, security, Internet privacy, governance, mobility, RFID, business intelligence and technology futures.

The world of IT security has undergone tremendous transformation, sparked by the consumerization of the enterprise, the adoption of cloud computing and the evolution of the sources of threats from hackers to organized crime and governments. While traditional security appliances were developed in a time when none of this existed, Zscaler’s modern cloud security platform enables businesses to embrace innovation securely, while delivering a superior user experience. Just as cloud applications transformed the market for CRM, Zscaler is transforming the market for Internet security.
