Zscaler Named by InformationWeek Startup 50 to Watch

Sunnyvale, California, April, 28, 2009

Zscaler, the industry’s first multi-tenant SaaS security service, announced today that the company was named to the Top 50 list of startups to watch by InformationWeek  magazine.  This select group of up-and-coming technology companies were chosen through a three-step process of nomination, online voting, and editorial vetting.

The companies that made the list were assessed on the following criteria: innovation in technology or business model; value, delivered in lower costs, increased sales, higher productivity, or improved customer loyalty; and enterprise readiness, meaning a product that scales and is ready for enterprise-class deployment.

“It is an honor to be selected by InformationWeek in their prestigious Startup 50. It validates the game changing SaaS security technology we have brought to the market at an attractive TCO,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO of Zscaler. “With a distributed network of more than 20 data centers around the globe,  Zscaler is the only viable cloud security service today capable of delivering ultra-fast responsiveness coupled with solid functionality that scales to meet the demands of large enterprises, and technology that enables unprecedented security.”

Zscaler’s cloud service eliminates the need for multiple point security products. Organizations simply redirect their Internet bound traffic to one of Zscaler's many data centers and the service enforces business policies to block, allow or clean the traffic. Zscaler mitigates risk at a higher threshold and lower cost while ensuring users have a fast and safe Internet experience.
