Zscaler Positioned as “Leader” in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways for Fourth Consecutive Year

San Jose, California, June, 26, 2014

Zscaler, the Internet security company, today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Leaders Quadrant” of the “Gartner Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways” for the fourth consecutive year.1  In addition, Zscaler once again was positioned the furthest for “Completeness of Vision.”

“We are so proud to have been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for the fourth year in a row,” said Jay Chaudhry, founder and CEO at Zscaler. “We believe that this reflects the uncompromising Internet security and tremendous business value we are delivering today to more than 12 million people at more than 5,000 enterprises and governments around the world.”

The world of IT security has undergone tremendous transformation, sparked by the consumerization of the enterprise, the adoption of cloud computing and the evolution of the sources of threats from hackers to organized crime and governments. While traditional security appliances were developed in a time when none of this existed, Zscaler’s modern cloud security platform enables businesses to embrace innovation securely, while delivering a superior user experience. Just as cloud applications transformed the market for CRM, Zscaler is transforming the market for Internet security.

The authors of “Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways” note that the, “market is evolving rapidly as vendors respond to the mobility trend and the evolving threat landscape.” 1 The "Magic Quadrant" recognition follows the inclusion of Zscaler in the “Cool Vendors in Security: Security Services, 2013,” which notes, “CISOs and other security decision makers should consider new vendors of cloud-based security services. These vendors bring a unique potential to IT environments that are grappling with a host of security issues.”
