Beyond security, zero trust for business enablement
Zero trust does not have to be approached in an all-or-nothing manner. There are many incremental steps that can be taken toward achieving a true zero trust environment, each with distinct benefits. For example, rather than trying to migrate everything to zero trust immediately, an organization can begin with a single department or set of applications. Starting with user-to-workload segmentation can produce immediate performance returns for participants and may render legacy systems redundant - leading to further savings. Other steps could include macro segmentation of VPC instances, and eventually, fully implemented identity-based segmentation across users, IoT/OT devices, and workloads. Every step of the zero trust journey strengthens security while also improving productivity, business processes, and reducing costs.

Zero trust, one step at a time
- What should you focus on when planning your organization’s zero trust journey?
- What is a good first step for organizations moving toward zero trust?
- Who should be involved in discussions around zero trust?
- Can zero trust be achieved through doing a simple “lift and shift” of applications into the cloud?

Overcoming challenges and reaping rewards
- What should you consider during the planning stage to avoid problems during zero trust implementation?
- Who is ultimately responsible for the zero trust implementation, and how should they monitor progress?
- How do you handle organizational resources or technology that cannot migrate into the zero trust solution?
- Can zero trust deliver benefits before being fully implemented?
- What are some security benefits that occur on the path toward zero trust?
