Transformation Journey
Steve Williams is the Enterprise CISO for NTT DATA Services, in Plano, Texas. He is responsible for creating and maintaining an Information Security Program across NTT DATA Services, securing the services provided to our clients, and helping to harmonize the security strategy across NTT’s global operating companies. Leading the global advancement of NTT DATA’s security maturity, and overseeing security standards and technical initiatives, Steve and his team are also responsible for instilling a cultural change within the company, knowing that enterprise security is most successful when employees are educated and motivated. He has more than 30 years of IT experience, mostly focused on large global enterprises and Fortune 500 companies. Before joining NTT DATA Services, he led global security teams at Dell, AMD, and Pearson.
Lessons Learned
User experience is the single most important consideration when selecting new technologies. A good user experience will see adoption rates soar, support tickets drop, and the business blossom. Ideally, security should invisibly surround the business processes, not alter them.
