Zscaler Protects Against Adobe Acrobat Reader Zero-Day Exploits

Zscaler, Inc., the market leader in cloud-delivered multi-tenant Security as a Service (SaaS), today announced that it has deployed protections for its customers from an un-patched Adobe Acrobat Reader vulnerability that is actively being exploited in the wild.   Zscaler security researchers discovered the new exploit, acquired live samples, and updated Zscaler’s global cloud service to block the threat for its customers.

With Zscaler’s security SaaS service, customers were immediately and transparently protected from the Adobe zero-day exploits seen in the wild.  This comes as welcome news to enterprises, particularly since Adobe has not yet released a patch for this vulnerability.  The challenge of protecting enterprise systems and their mobile workforce can be especially daunting during these zero-day scenarios.  As a SaaS security provider, Zscaler continues to research and monitor threats as they emerge, and incorporate protection into its cloud service to block threats before they ever reach its customers’ mobile users or enterprise networks.
