What's New in ZDX: Sharper Alerts, Cleaner Data, Faster Troubleshooting
Every month, Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) releases updates that help IT and network operations teams see more, troubleshoot faster, and manage the digital experience of their users at scale.
From expanded network architecture support to more granular probe controls, this month's releases reflect what our customers keep telling us: giving teams more precise controls to cut through noise, more accurate data to act on, and a cleaner experience to work in every day.
Here's what is new with ZDX:
- Smarter Alerts for Collaboration Quality Monitoring
- Filter Dashboards by Data Center
- Real User Monitoring Improvements
- Consistent UX with ZDX in Experience Center
Smarter Alerts for Collaboration Quality Monitoring
For organizations that rely on real-time alerts to catch collaboration quality issues before they impact users, the granularity of those alerts matters enormously. A generic alert that fires for every region, including ones you know have connectivity variance, creates noise that slows teams down rather than helping them.
ZDX now supports expanded filtering and grouping options when configuring collaboration quality alerts. Teams can now apply inclusion and exclusion filters by location, country, city, and other dimensions, the same granularity that is already available for application and network alert types. You can also group alert data by these dimensions to understand whether an issue is localized to a specific office or widespread across a region.
The result: Fewer false positives, more targeted notifications, and faster triage when something actually goes wrong.
ZDX tier: Available for ZDX Advanced and Advanced Plus customers.
Filter Your Dashboards by Data Center
When a performance degradation or service disruption is reported at a specific data center location, the first question is always: who's affected, and what is the impact? Until now, correlating a data center event with actual user experience data required workarounds or relying on pre-built system reports.
ZDX now lets you filter live dashboard data by Zscaler data center across the Network Intelligence dashboard and other key views. Select one or more data centers from the filter dropdown and immediately see the telemetry from application performance, network path health, device metrics from users egressing through those locations.
The result: Network operations teams who need to quickly scope the blast radius of an infrastructure event and communicate impact to the business in real time.
ZDX tier: Available across all ZDX license tiers.
Real User Monitoring: More Precision, Less Ambiguity
ZDX's Real User Monitoring capability captures how end users actually experience web applications like load times, errors, navigation flows directly from the browser. The latest update brings a set of meaningful improvements for teams who depend on this data:
- Clearer load time metrics for single-page applications: Page load time and navigation time are now reported distinctly, so you can understand whether slowness is coming from the initial page load or subsequent in-app navigation events.
- Multiple errors per session visible: When more than one error occurs during a monitoring window, all error events are now displayed, not just the first one, giving a complete picture of what a user experienced.
- Consistent score terminology: Score labels across the ZDX interface now use uniform naming conventions, eliminating the ambiguity that came from inconsistent labels across different views.
- Enriched browser data collection: The browser extension now captures additional resource-level attributes, enabling deeper analysis of web application performance bottlenecks.
The browser extension updates automatically with no action needed from end users or IT teams.
ZDX tier: Available for ZDX Advanced Plus customers.
A More Consistent Console Experience
We also completed a significant UI refresh across ZDX. Filters, tables, drawers, time-range selectors, page headers, and other core interface elements have been updated to follow a unified design system, delivering a consistent look and feel whether you're working in dashboards, alert configurations, or device detail views.
The change is purely visual and requires no workflow adjustments, but the day-to-day impact is real: a more predictable interface reduces the small moments of friction that slow teams down during active troubleshooting.
ZDX tier: Available across all ZDX license tiers.
What's Next
These releases reflect a consistent theme across ZDX's evolution: better signal, less noise, and faster paths from detection to resolution. Whether it's more precise alerting, accurate device data, or a cleaner interface to work in, every improvement compounds over time into a meaningfully more efficient operations workflow.
Keep an eye out for what's coming in next month’s releases, including updates that will make it even easier to prioritize and respond to issues for your organization's most critical users.
