Meet Barbara Sagrillo

Q: How did you choose to go into Marketing? 

A: I entered the marketing field out of courage, despite not having studied it formally. The dynamic nature of marketing means that no two days are the same. This keeps me engaged and motivated, as I am constantly faced with new challenges and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Q: How did you find yourself at Zscaler? 

A: I thoroughly enjoy working at Zscaler because it provides me with a sense of freedom, respect, and a peaceful work environment.

Q: What event, advice or experience impacted you the most? 

A:  I have not been impacted by any specific event, but I choose to follow my needs, aspirations, and ambitions without allowing setbacks to discourage me. If something discourages me, I always strive to find a way and a solution to lift myself up.

Q: If you could pick one person who has been influential in your life, who would it be? Why? 

A: If I could choose one person who has been influential in my life, it would be my grandmothers. Both of them have had a significant impact on me. One of my grandmothers, who lived in a big city, had a strong sense of duty towards work and education. The other, who lived in the mountains, shared the same sense of duty but also had immense love for her community, friends, home, and family. Both of them were avid animal lovers and remarkably progressive, considering they lived through the Second World War.

Q: What is a quote you live by? 

A: My motto is "live and let live." I believe in tolerance, acceptance, and respect for others. It encourages individuals to live their lives as they see fit, without interfering or imposing their beliefs on others. Also I emphasize the importance of personal freedom and peaceful coexistence.
