Health
Supporting the health and well-being of employees and their families is a top priority. Excellent health coverage encompasses much more than sick care—it includes resources for mental health, support for complex and chronic conditions, and benefits to help grow and care for your family.
Medical Plans:
We recognize that health is a large component of wellness. Employees and family members are enrolled under a public medical insurance plan to support your needs, including medical and prescription coverage.
Up to 70% of medical expenses are covered by insurance when receiving care at a medical institution. In addition, employees can receive a monetary allowance if they are absent for more than 4 days due to accident or sickness.
Family Planning and Support:
Employees receive paid parental leave, and Zscaler offers a lump-sum allowance when your baby is born. Learn more about parental leave in the Work-Life Balance and Time Off section of this page.
Employees are encouraged to take advantage of mental health services and wellness programs that include 24/7 access to the Telus confidential Employee Assistance Program; and free access to the Calm meditation app.
Financial
We understand that financial security is a cornerstone of overall well-being. Our broad range of benefits is designed to help you manage your financial security and save for your future.
The Zscaler stock program offers Restricted Stock Units (RSU) and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) allowing you to invest in Zscaler’s future and share in the company’s success.
- RSUs are granted by the company to eligible employees on an individual basis as deemed appropriate.
- ESPP offers employees an opportunity to purchase Zscaler stock at a minimum 15% discount through payroll deduction twice a year.
Life Insurance:
Zscaler provides Basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) benefits to protect you and your family in case of death or serious injury. Zscaler pays for the full cost of this coverage for employees.
Disability Plans:
Long-term disability insurance provides income protection in case you are unable to work due to extended illness or disability. Zscaler pays for the full cost of this coverage.

Zscaler supports employees with families and offers the following parental leave benefits:
- Birthing Parents: 100% of base pay for 18 weeks of bonding time
- Non-Birthing Parents: 100% of base pay for 8 weeks of bonding time
- Extended child care leave is available after taking parental leave
All Zscaler employees and their family members have access to an enhanced Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Telus. This free and confidential program offers localized 1:1 health and well-being support, including counseling services and resources to assist employees and their families with work and home life issues, including finding care for children and elderly parents, education, finances, and more.
Learning and Employee Perks
Zscaler invests in your growth through a variety of learning and development options, along with a tuition reimbursement program for continuing education and certifications. We also provide employees with a range of on-site perks.
Learning and Development:
Employees can take advantage of a variety of leadership and management development offerings, plus access to on-demand learning, including 1,000+ videos, courses, and live events on personal development, business, AI and other technical topics.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Zscaler invests in your future career growth and helps you further your knowledge, skills, and job effectiveness through continuing education. Employees can apply for reimbursement up to US$1,500 equivalent per calendar year for eligible educational expenses, including college credit courses, continuing education courses, and certifications.
Employees who work in or visit select offices enjoy healthy snacks and beverage options to stay energized and productive throughout the day.
