San Jose, California, März 04, 2015
Zscaler, the Internet security company, today announced that Sydney Carey has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Carey will report directly to Zscaler founder and CEO Jay Chaudhry, and will be responsible for the company’s global financial operations.
A seasoned CFO with deep public markets, corporate finance and strategy expertise, Carey has extensive experience leading both public and private companies. She most recently served as CFO of MongoDB, provider of a leading open source database, and prior to that spent nine years at TIBCO, a $3 billion infrastructure software company, most recently as executive vice president and CFO.
“Sydney is a proven financial and operational leader with a track record of maximizing shareholder value at high performing organizations. Her strategic finance expertise will be invaluable as we continue to scale the business to meet the needs of the world’s leading brands, grow our channel and extend our global reach,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO of Zscaler.
Carey was named a Bay Area CFO of the Year in 2012 and serves on the boards of Proofpoint, a next-generation security and compliance company, and Bazaarvoice, a social software and data analytics company. She holds a B.A. in economics from Stanford University.
“This is such an exciting time to be at Zscaler. Driven by the unstoppable trends of mobility, cloud computing and the Internet of things, Zscaler is on track to become the world’s leading cloud-based security platform and a dominant force in the $35 billion global security market. I look forward to teaming with Zscaler’s executive leadership to deliver on the company’s vision to keep the world safe from Internet threats,” said Carey.
