Zscaler Data Processing Agreement and Amendments

Zscaler has updated its DPA to align with various legal requirements. This updated DPA contains revised or additional contractual provisions in order to assist our customers in their compliance with the GDPR and other data protection laws. In addition, below you will also find a useful DPA Cover Letter that we have put together to assist in your review of our DPA.

DPA COVER LETTER

For customers who have already signed a DPA with Zscaler, we have prepared the following amendments (linked below) to comply with data transfer requirements. If you signed a DPA with Zscaler in or after April 2022, you likely do not need to execute these amendments. Please read these summaries to decide which type of amendment you require:

• Zscaler DPA Amendment (SCCs and UK Addendum)

  • Use this amendment to update your DPA to comply with the following:

    • European Commission’s implementing decision 2021/914 (Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)); and

    • The UK Addendum issued under Section 119A of the Data Protection Act 2018 for international data transfers.

• Zscaler DPA Amendment (UK Addendum ONLY)

  • Use this amendment if you only need to update your DPA to comply with the UK Addendum issued under Section 119A of the Data Protection Act 2018 for international data transfers.

For customers that have already signed a DPA with Zscaler we have prepared the following Amendment (linked below) in order to further emphasize compliance with the California Privacy laws. Please note that Zscaler DPA is already designed to be globally applicable, and this Amendment is voluntary. 

• Zscaler CCPA & CPRA Amendment

Each of the above documents can be executed by following the instructions on the first page of the document. Please note that signatures may be required on multiple pages.
