Zscaler Issues 2010 Security Predictions
Sunnyvale, California, December 16, 2009
Zscaler, Inc., the market leader in cloud-delivered multi-tenant Security as a Service (SaaS), today released their 2010 security predictions. Leveraging their unique insight into web traffic, a global customer base and world class research, Zscaler has published ten predictions detailing their expectations for attackers, victims and technology vendors alike in the coming year.
“Despite the recession, a number of technologies gained momentum in 2009,” said Michael Sutton, vice president of Security Research at Zscaler. “Mobile platforms matured, cloud development became a reality and social networks went mainstream. Attackers go where their targets are and as such, the success of these technologies will make them prime targets in 2010”. According to Sutton, attackers will also continue to shift toward web-based attacks on end users, leveraging legitimate sites with poor security controls.
