Introduction

If Customer has subscribed for  Light Customer Users for ZIA, ZPA or both, then the following terms will also apply to the use of these products:

"Authenticated Traffic" means traffic sent and received by a known Seat.

Light Customer User” means a Seat that Customer designates as a light or occasional user of the products.

Monthly Traffic” means the ZIA Monthly Traffic or ZPA Monthly Traffic as relevant based on the product in question.

Seat” means a single subscription for an individual Authorised User or Light Customer User. The number of Seats required for each of ZIA and ZPA is determined by counting the total number of unique individual users of ZIA or ZPA (as relevant) over the previous rolling 90-day period.

“Unauthenticated Non-seat Traffic” means traffic not related to a known Seat including inline guest WiFi, device, server and workload traffic.

“ZIA Monthly Traffic” means the total amount of non-seat Authenticated Traffic and Unauthenticated Traffic that is uploaded and downloaded via ZIA in a calendar month, measured in GB.

“ZPA Monthly Traffic” means the total amount of traffic that is uploaded and downloaded via ZPA in a calendar month, measured in GB.

Excessive Monthly Traffic for ZIA and ZPA (Light Customer Users)

For Light Customer Users, use of ZIA and ZPA is limited by both the number of Seats ordered and Monthly Traffic flowing through the products each calendar month.  Each ZIA Light Customer User is allowed 1 GB of Monthly Traffic per ZIA Seat and each ZPA Light Customer User is allowed 0.5 GB of Monthly Traffic per ZPA Seat (the “Allowances”).

If the Allowances are exceeded by more than  10%, Zscaler will notify Customer/Partner and Customer must work with Partner/Zscaler in good faith to investigate the reason(s) for the Monthly Traffic being over the Allowances (e.g. additional non-purchased seats using the products, non-seat traffic using the products, changes in customer’s network, etc.). Customer must then either (i) determine a bandwidth reduction plan; (ii) order additional Seats and/or Monthly Traffic (with pricing to be pro-rated and the subscription to be prorated with the then-current Subscription Term); or (iii) upgrade some or all Light Customer Users to regular Seats. If Customer does not comply with any of these three options within 90 days of being notified by Zscaler, then Partner/Zscaler may invoice customer for required additional Seats and/or Monthly Traffic starting from the date of notification.
