Navigating Strategic Growth as an Account Executive

As a Commercial Account Executive, Chloe True partners with organizations to enable and accelerate their business objectives through Zscaler's platform. By leveraging our collaborative #ONEteam culture and taking active ownership of her development, Chloe has successfully scaled her skills to manage highly strategic accounts.

What is your role?

My goal is to understand my customers' business initiatives, and share how Zscaler's platform can enable and accelerate their business objectives and what they are looking to achieve. My goal with all of my customers is to be viewed as a top strategic partner and understand what they are trying to accomplish and land tangible, long-term value for the organization.

What is your favorite part about working at Zscaler?

I am very fortunate to be working in a very relevant industry, for a company that is a definitive leader in the cybersecurity space. But what truly makes it special is the opportunity to solve hard problems alongside some of the best and brightest colleagues as #ONEteam.

What makes Zscaler unique?

Zscaler is a fast growing company, yet access to leadership and executives is never out of reach.  Everyone here is invested in your growth and actively wants to help you succeed. It is not out of the question to have our CEO, Jay Chaudhry, join a customer call or send an email to an account.  I have never worked at a company of this size where that was possible.  It is incredibly unique!

Can you share about your career growth?

While I've been a Commercial AE since starting, Zscaler's emphasis on a growth mindset means leadership roles and up-market career opportunities are always within reach. I’ve chosen to stay in the Commercial segment because of its massive growth—scaling from managing accounts of 750 employees to 5,000. By taking ownership of my development and learning to navigate larger, strategic accounts, I’ve been able to deliver high-impact results in my territory for four years while constantly feeling challenged.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career as an AE at Zscaler?

Be driven, be highly coachable, and always bring a fresh perspective to your team! Embrace our culture of healthy debate and alignment, and focus every day on how you can deliver meaningful, outcome-driven value for your customers and your team
