Jayshree Ullal, Former Cisco Senior Executive, joins Zscaler Board
Santa Clare, California, September 03, 2008
Zscaler, the industry-first, multi-tenant SaaS security service, announced today that Jayshree Ullal has joined Zscaler's board of directors. She recently left Cisco, where she was the Senior Vice President of Cisco's Data Center, Switching and Services Group.
"While there are numerous opportunities in the Internet space, Zscaler is bringing together innovative technology, in-the-cloud services and a strong team-a combination I rarely see," said Jayshree Ullal. "The opportunity to guide that combination to make a lasting impact on the industry brought me onto this board."
In 2005, Jayshree was named as one of the "50 Most Powerful People" in Network World. She was nominated as one of the 20 most powerful "Women to Watch in 2001" by Newsweek. She received the Information Week Innovator and Influencer Award in 2001. She also received Women of Influence Security Award in 2007 from Executive Women's Forum.
"We warmly welcome Jayshree to the Zscaler Board. She has quite a track record of excellent leadership as well as a valuable background as an entrepreneurial mentor," said Jay Chaudhry, Zscaler's President and CEO. "She is well-known for her strong strategic insights and business acumen and we greatly look forward to working with her."
At Cisco, Jayshree drove the direction and execution of Cisco's Switching and Security, led the company's expansion into the data center product lines and was responsible for over $10 billion revenue. Previously, Jayshree was Senior Vice President of the Security Technology group, where she doubled the Self-Defending Networks portfolio to $2 billion and amassed a market share of more than 40% in three years. She oversaw nearly 20 mergers and acquisitions for Cisco in the enterprise sector. Prior to her 15 years at Cisco, Jayshree was the Vice President of Marketing at Crescendo Communications, Cisco's first acquisition.
