He joined Zscaler in 2024, bringing with him almost three decades of experience in cybersecurity, cloud networking, and enterprise architecture. Prior to Zscaler, Gerd spent as an Enterprise Architect in the Global Strategic Account Program (GSAP), supporting high-potential clients on their journey to a secure, platform-driven infrastructure. Before that, he served as Industry Strategist in the Financial Sector, focusing on customer advisory, information sharing, and advanced threat mitigation strategies. Gerd continues to act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, combining hands-on technical expertise with a strategic view of emerging cyber risks. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has provided independent consulting for federal authorities, including Germany’s Ministry of IT Defense. Gerd holds CISSP and CCSP certifications and is a certified ethical hacker.
