Manuel Beicht
The Routing & Switching years:
------------------------------------------------------------
I started my career as an Engineer in Network & Systems Integration, designing WAN- and LAN infrastructures for Fortune 500 customers. After having worked on an Expert-level for years (Routing & Switching CCIE#22457) I moved on to the rising field of Unified Communications & Collaboration technologies.
The Collaboration years:
------------------------------------------------------------
I specialized on the Planning, Design & Operations of large VoIP and Video networks and worked with a wide range of global customers in the Enterprise & Public Sector (incl. Defense). During that time, I also transitioned to the role of a Solutions Integration Architect, working not only with UC anymore, but with Enterprise Architectures on a broader architectural level.
In my role as a Business Architect, I focused more and more on IT Governance and how to design solutions for customers, which apply to their strategic priorities and create measurable outcomes and value.
My recent and current chapter in the book of Technology -> SECURITY
------------------------------------------------------------
In my last big technology transition, I became passionate about Cybersecurity and from now on wanted to guideline customers to become more protected and resilient against any kind of attacks.
As a Business Development Manager for Cybersecurity & Cyber Resilience, I focused on developing, positioning, customising and selling strategic and tactical services around Cybersecurity, Cyber Resilience and Cyber Risk Management. I became point-of-contact and interface for German customers to work with Talos Threat Intelligence and Incident Response Teams. That included running proactive Cyber Resilience workshops to identify missing Cyber Defense capabilities and supporting customers during and after cyber attacks, together with Talos Incident Response.
I also worked with the BSI (German Federal Office of Information Security) to drive the initiative of Talos Incident Response becoming a BSI-qualified APT Response Service.
In my current role as Transformation Architect for Zscaler, I am guiding customers on their journey to transform their Architecture according to the needs of their Business, aiming at enhancing User Experience, lowering operational Complexity & Cost, while staying secure and resilient against all threats out there.
My main focus is currently the evolving AI-based Threat Landscape and showing customers how the combination of a resilient Zero Trust Architecuture and connected Data Fabric for Threat & Exposure Management can provide the best possible Defense against those new evolving threats.
