Zscaler Appoints Gururaj Singh as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Data Center Operations
Sunnyvale, California, décembre 21, 2009
Zscaler, Inc., the market leader in multi-tenant SaaS security, today announced that Gururaj Singh, a seasoned technology executive, has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Data Center Operations. He will lead the development effort to advance the company’s revolutionary SaaS security technology and global cloud infrastructure.
Gururaj served as Vice President and co-General Manager of the $500 million Application Delivery Business unit at Cisco Systems where he managed a global team of 500 engineers. Prior to that, he was CEO and co-founder of Netiverse which was acquired by Cisco in 2000. In addition, Gururaj has led engineering operations at various successful ventures, including Berkeley Networks (acquired by Fore Systems), Centillion Networks (acquired by Bay Networks) and Adapative Corporation (acquired by Network Equipment Technologies).
“We are delighted to welcome Gururaj to the team,” said Zscaler CEO and founder, Jay Chaudhry. “He brings a wealth of skills and knowledge which is a culmination of 25 years in the industry. Gururaj’s successes range from four start-ups to managing rapid growth at a large enterprise, and are testament to his unique abilities.”
“I am honored to be joining Zscaler. It has purpose-built SaaS security from the ground up,” said Gururaj. “Traditional SaaS security vendors are attempting to address the market need by retrofitting yesterday’s appliances which fail to scale and introduce latency. Zscaler’s multi-tenant service is delivered from a global network of 40 data centers which has enabled it to offer comprehensive security at ultra-low latency. I look forward to applying my engineering and operations expertise in furthering Zscaler’s differentiated offering.”
