Pride Month at Zscaler: Unity in Community
At Zscaler, we believe that inclusion is at the heart of innovation, creativity, and progress. This Pride Month, we focus on the power of unity: How shared experiences and solidarity within the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies can inspire change and growth while fostering safe spaces for all.
Pride with Purpose: Change Through Celebration
The Pride movement, rooted in resilience and bravery, has come a long way since the Stonewall Riots in 1969. These moments in history remind us of the courage and determination it has taken to advocate for equity, inclusion, and representation. While Pride Month inspires vibrant celebrations, it’s also a reminder to recommit to creating spaces where everyone feels valued for who they are.
At Zscaler, this commitment is reflected in our Pride@Z Employee Resource Group (ERG) –a space that brings LGBTQIA+ employees and allies together to foster dialogue, provide support, and advance impactful programs year-round. As part of Pride Month, our HQ is buzzing with activities designed to educate, amplify employee voices, and engage with the broader community.
We’re proud to celebrate Pride Month in tangible ways that bring people together, uplift LGBTQIA+ talent, and support local businesses. Here are just a few of the activities our employees are doing during Pride Month:
Pride Artisan Market and Swag Giveaway
We welcomed local LGBTQIA+-owned businesses for our Pride Artisan Market, showcasing homemade products that employees could take home. Employees also received a special Zscaler tote bag to carry their items, creating a tangible connection to supporting LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurship.
Pride Month Office Lunch
Employees came together for lunch featuring delicious food options from LGBTQIA+-owned Fresh Catch Poke and Melina’s Place. Sharing a meal is the perfect way to reflect on unity and inclusion within our community.
Making an Impact 
At Zscaler, we believe that Pride Month is not just a time to celebrate but also to take meaningful actions that benefit the community. One way we are doing this is through our Zscaler Employees Serving Together (ZEST) volunteer program, which empowers employees to give back while fostering the values of community and connection.
Through the month of June, employees are invited to pick up and create Career Preparation Kits designed to support local LGBTQIA+ youth by equipping them with tools for their career. Vaughn Grigsby, Sr. Director, People Business Partner, shares:
“It is great that our company has events that not only celebrate and highlight our diverse workforce during our affinity month celebrations, it brings it to a new level by incorporating actions that we can quickly and easily undertake that have an impact on our entire community. The Career Preparation Kits were an example of a way employees can thoughtfully give back through sharing wisdom and knowledge they gained from their own career journey and help out younger people as they begin theirs.”
Staying Connected Year-Round
At Zscaler, we believe Pride isn’t limited to one month–it’s a lens through which we shape our culture year-round. We want every employee to feel respected, supported, and empowered to contribute fully. Whether through our ERGs, onsite events, or programs like ZEST, we strive to embed fairness and access at every level of the organization.
