 Tell us a little about your journey to working for Zscaler:

I started here as a sourcing recruiter and over the past 3 years, I have moved onto recruiting. I now head up recruitment for 3 organizations (Public Sector - Jose Padin, Channel Engineering - John Bullitt, and Pre-Sales Engineering - Tim Nagy). 

What has been most impactful during your career journey?

 I believe that the key takeaway is that I am transforming lives for the long term. The connections I have built with my clients (hiring managers and candidates) have genuinely had the most significant impact on me.

Candidate Client: In pre-sales recruiting you learn about the skills and achievements of who you are hiring, how they got where they are today, and where they want to go from here…it is about being apart of their journey and helping them with their success of landing their dream role at Zscaler.

Hiring Manager Client: It is truly about building the trusted advisor relationship and being in lock step with your partner. Knowing that my role here at Zscaler is to alleviate pain points that my hiring manager is feeling.

What about your work at Zscaler gets you excited to wake up everyday? 

I love my job! I love helping people and making an impact to the hypergrowth here at Zscaler. I drive my role in pre-sales engineering with passion, and innovation…if it does not work fix it! I try to put myself in the shoes of the candidate pacing the floor waiting for a call back, the hiring manager losing someone that was not only on the team, but probably a friend. It is about being there, being empathic and having a human connection.

Tell us about the importance of connecting to your sense of purpose - what inspires you?

Humans inspire me; people can be a profound source of inspiration! As a recruiter you just have to ask, and people want to share their journey; It can be the hiring manager, it can be the candidate…but they all have a story, it is my job to listen, help, lift up and drive.

What’s the one experience that helped you grow the most?

Learning how to be a better teammate! I take on a lot, but I know now… that I don’t have to do it alone. We have so many cross collaborative team members here, that even with a hint of “the water is coming up” you have life rafts all around you. #OneTeam

What is a quote you live by?

There are no problems, just solutions that have not been discovered for the here and now.
