How Zscaler Is Helping Veterans Write Their Next Chapter Through SkillBridge
Through the U.S. Department of Defense SkillBridge Program, Zscaler will provide additional job training to active military members with cybersecurity and IT experience in roles like cyber analyst, network and system engineers, and incident or threat responders. Using their transferable skills, program participants will spend 3-6 months at Zscaler getting real-world business experience that prepares them for a post-military career.
When it comes to talent in the marketplace, what do the five U.S. military branches have in common? All of them – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Space Force – offer some of the best cybersecurity and IT professionals with unique and transferable skills.
As a growing organization and a leader in our industry, Zscaler is on a mission to attract and retain the best talent. That’s why we’re targeting some of the brightest U.S. military service members as an official SkillBridge Training Program provider.

In my experience supporting military talent recruitment in corporate organizations (and as a U.S. Army veteran of 22 years), I know that military veterans are among the best and most dedicated employees. Having led SkillBridge Programs at cybersecurity companies like PAN and Peraton, I’ve seen program participants successfully transition into full-time roles in corporate organizations while providing added value that only comes from military experience.
Here at Zscaler, we’ll benefit firsthand from the leadership that service members bring to the table. We’ll learn from their experience while they transition into civilian roles.
We’re excited to partner with the DoD SkillBridge Program, exposing service members to our great culture and teams, and possibly considering them for open positions at the end of their internship. We’re growing fast, and we look forward to welcoming some of America’s finest service members to the Zscaler team.
