Zscaler Names Former Blue Coat Exec to the Role of Vice President Service Providers

Sunnyvale, California, Januar 12, 2010

Zscaler, Inc., the market leader in multi-tenant SaaS security, today announced that Craig Hicks-Frazer, a seasoned executive, has joined the company as vice president of service providers. In this role Hicks-Frazer will lead the initiative to expand Zscaler’s early traction with dozens of service providers and build a strong business for this market segment.

Most recently, Hicks-Frazer was the vice president of service providers at Blue Coat Systems where he was instrumental in starting this vertical market and growing it to a significant revenue base. He began his tenure there in 2001 as the managing director of the UK and developed a solid community of partners from the ground up. Prior to that, he held several roles of increasing responsibility at a variety of organizations including Alcatel and Cabletron Systems.

“Craig has a track-record of introducing new technologies and building the service provider business globally,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO and founder of Zscaler. “We have a game-changing, network-based SaaS security technology that enables service providers to deliver clean pipes to businesses and consumers and generate incremental revenue. Craig’s experience and domain expertise will accelerate our growth in this important market segment around the world.”

“Zscaler provides a paradigm shift in how service providers enable the delivery of security services from their network,” said Hicks-Frazer. “Operators around the world have been requesting a service for both fixed line and mobile accounts, subscriber as well as corporate, that is multi-tenant, scalable, easy to provision and requires no upfront capital investment. I’m excited about the opportunity because Zscaler provides all of this and more.”
