Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, today extends its existing partnership with Zscaler®, the leading cloud security platform, to bring simple, scalable cloud security as a service to organizations in the public sector. Under the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as Zscaler's master government aggregator, making the company's Internet Security Platform available to the public sector and its reseller ecosystem via Carahsoft's GSA Schedule and SEWP V contract vehicles.
“Public sector organizations have been under conflicting pressure to open their networks to more devices, individuals, and cloud services, while at the same time providing high levels of protection against internet threats and the loss of government-sensitive information,” said Michael Shrader, vice president of intelligent and innovative solutions at Carahsoft. “With Zscaler on our GSA Schedule, our government customers and resellers now have access to a simple, easy-to-manage cloud security platform that balances access and security, while also reducing cost and complexity of securing Internet traffic and private applications.”
Cloud and mobility technologies have blurred the line between the open Internet and private networks, making the Internet the de facto network of government and education. The ubiquity of the Internet in the public sector increases the risk of attack from individuals, organizations, and nations seeking to compromise the sensitive data, applications, and infrastructure that state, local, and federal agencies protect.
Now government and education organizations can get access to one of the world’s leading security platforms, Zscaler. With a tested ability to block more than 99 percent of malware, Zscaler is the only pure cloud platform encompassing secure web gateway, cloud sandbox, cloud firewall, and secure private access to internal assets.
“Public sector organizations are facing an increased threat that is exacerbated by the cost and complexity of securing mobile devices, the Internet of Things, and cloud applications," said James Kohler, director of public sector for Zscaler. “We are proud to be partnering with Carahsoft and our reseller partners to bring simple, scalable, and cost-effective cloud security solutions to public sector organizations to help them protect the people, data, and applications that are critical to their missions.”
The Zscaler Internet Security Platform is now available via Carahsoft’s GSA Schedule GS-35F- 0119Y and SEWP Contracts NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B.
