Zscaler Expands Asia-Pacific Operations to Japan

Leading Cloud Security Company Opens Office in Tokyo and Builds Japan Team

Tokyo, Japan, May, 22, 2018

Zscaler, Inc., (NASDAQ: ZS) the industry leader in cloud security, today announced the opening of its new Tokyo office in the Global Business Hub at Otemachi Financial City, and the hiring of an experienced team with deep industry knowledge to support enterprise customers throughout Japan.

Zscaler®, which enables secure cloud transformation for enterprises around the world, is headquartered in San Jose, California, and has additional Asia-based operations in Singapore, Australia, and India. Customers currently include over 200 of the Forbes Global 2000 and span every major industry.

“We are pleased to be able to serve Japanese organizations and enterprises more effectively with this latest expansion,” said Jay Chaudhry, Zscaler CEO. “Enterprises in Japan and around the world are struggling to secure the explosion of internet-bound traffic. Zscaler’s purpose-built cloud security platform delivers fast user experience and enhances security while eliminating the need to buy, deploy and manage legacy security appliances.”

Enterprises are increasingly relying on the internet for a range of business activities, adopting new external SaaS applications, and moving internally managed applications to the public cloud. The Zscaler security cloud helps organizations accelerate their IT transformation to the cloud by enabling the secure migration of applications from the corporate data center to the cloud and from legacy data center-based networks to modern direct-to-cloud architectures that allow traffic to be routed locally and securely to the internet.

“Zscaler provides a scalable cloud platform for organizations charting their cloud transformation,” said Scott Robertson, Zscaler vice president and general manager for Asia. “Whether a company is adopting SaaS applications like Office 365 or migrating internal applications to the public cloud, Zscaler cloud security can offer a better user experience with reduced risk, and a lower total cost of ownership.”
