Sunnyvale, California, April, 08, 2009
Zscaler, Inc., the industry’s first, multi-tenant SaaS security service, today announced that the company is expanding its distributed security network, sales and data center operations to Latin America in order to better serve customers in the region. Zscaler also announced the deployment of two data centers in Mexico (Mexico City and Monterrey). This is the first of a series of global expansion efforts to be announced in the months ahead.
Zscaler’s locally-delivered SaaS security services and data center operations will enable regional customers maximum protection impact (functionality, features and capabilities) with ultra–low latency for Internet access.
In conjunction with this announcement, Zscaler also today announced the appointment of Regional Director, Jorge Padres, to head Latin America operations. Padres brings vast local experience to his post with expertise from having served companies such as ArrowPoint, IronPort and Cisco Systems.
“Jorge has a proven track record of building successful operations in Latin America,” said Jay Chaudhry, Zscaler CEO. “His experience and knowledge of the local marketplace, coupled with Zscaler’s true SaaS service within local data centers will accelerate business in this important and fast growing market.”
“I am already seeing a high degree of interest in the Zscaler cloud security service from enterprises and service providers,” said Padres. “With its distributed global network and integrated functionality, Zscaler is a powerful solution for consolidating point products, simplifying IT administration and reducing cost.”
Zscaler has quickly established a leadership position in the cloud security market for enterprises, ranging from small businesses to the largest Fortune 500 corporations; it is also an ideal solution for service providers charged with serving millions of consumers.
