Meet Sanjana K., a Computer Science student from the University of Texas at Dallas who is wrapping up her second adventure-filled internship with us. Her journey from our platform team to the AI/ML engineering team is a masterclass in growth and seizing opportunity.

Sanjana’s first summer focused on streamlining the customer experience on our shared platform team. "Working with large codebases was new for me," she says. "It was exciting to see how every detail matters."

Fueled by her passion for AI, she returned for a second internship, this time diving deep into machine learning models. "Seeing the full software lifecycle and bringing products to life has been incredibly rewarding," Sanjana reflects.

The Culture: Ownership Backed by People
At Zscaler, interns are empowered with real ownership. Sanjana notes that while defining a new path can be "exciting but sometimes overwhelming, but that’s the beauty of it. By asking questions and learning from your mentors, you step into opportunities to grow and innovate."

That freedom is backed by a strong support system. "The people here are fantastic," she adds. "Everyone’s willing to help and guide you, from team members to executives."
