How did the Sales Onboarding (Bootcamp) program prepare you for your role?
Bootcamp equipped me with invaluable insights and practical skills essential for excelling in my role. The opportunity to receive direct training from our CEO through Jay's Masterclass was a truly unique and transformative experience. Hearing directly from the company's visionary leader provided a deeper understanding of our goals and instilled confidence in how I approach customer interactions.
Furthermore, the hands-on exercise of applying the training to a real-life customer situation was exceptionally beneficial. It allowed me to translate theoretical knowledge into actionable results, bridging the gap between learning and execution.
What was the most valuable insight or skill you took away from this experience?
The most valuable insight I gained is the importance of operating with both urgency and authenticity, especially given the high-growth environment Zscaler is in. At a company that is scaling aggressively, it’s essential to avoid getting caught up in the pursuit of perfection, as that often leads to delays. Instead, the focus should be on taking action and engaging directly with customers in a genuine way. Building trusted relationships through consistency will naturally drive results.
Can you describe a memorable moment with teammates during Bootcamp?
One of the most memorable moments was hearing from Zscaler’s Sales Representative of the Year. His session stood out because of his authenticity and transparency. Rather than focusing solely on metrics, he shared a candid perspective on his journey—including the challenges, mistakes, and lessons learned. It reinforced the importance of being genuine, embracing continuous learning, and staying resilient—qualities that are essential to thriving in this environment.
What excites you about developing your career further at Zscaler?
What excites me most is the opportunity to grow within a company that fosters both high performance and alignment to our values. I’ve been consistently impressed by the caliber of talent here—individuals who are not only highly intelligent but also genuinely committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers. Being surrounded by driven, hardworking, and passionate teammates challenges me to bring my best self to work every day and make an impact.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining Zscaler’s sales team?
Zscaler is in an exciting phase of rapid growth, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact is unparalleled. My advice is to come in with the mindset of being proactive, adaptable, and ready to operate with urgency. The pace is fast, and expectations are high, but it’s equally rewarding for those who are driven. This is a place where hard work, authenticity, and a genuine focus on helping customers succeed are recognized and rewarded.
